Pathways to Care is hosting three (3) focus groups in Toronto with 1) Black youth 2) 2SLGBTQ+ Black Youth, and 3) Black youth with experiences in the justice system. We want to hear your experiences and learn about how we can improve how mental healthcare is delivered to young Black people.
A strategic collaboration between Black Health Alliance, Strides Toronto (formerly East Metro Youth Services), The Centre for Addictions and Mental Health (CAMH), TAIBU Community Health Centre, and The Wellesley Institute, Pathways to Care aims to improve access to care and shift the way Black children and youth are served by organizations. We hope to do that by partnering with existing services and providing them with tools to help them better serve the needs of Black children and youth. We will also be providing resources on mental health directly to the community.
A paid honorarium is available for your time and knowledge. This research project has been reviewed by the Community Research Ethics Office [CREO #154].
If you are interested, or if you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail Tfanteemail@example.com for further details.
We will also be hosting focus groups in Ottawa, Kitchener-Waterloo, Hamilton, London, and Windsor at a later date!
